Owners of property on South 8th Street have applied to the city to build a waffle house on 1.2 acres of vacant property next to the Wells Fargo building, according to city documents.
The project is on this week's agenda of the city's Technical Review Committee Thursday for consideration. Documents show the property owner as William Mooney at 1854 S. 8th Street. Mooney lists a Waffle House email address as his contact information. Mooney is the owner of Mooney's Custom Woodworks on 8th Street.
The current property is wooded and undeveloped.
The Fire Department has designated the address as 1870 S. 8th Street.
