City Attorney Tammi Bach has provided city commissioners with the actual total compensation costs of $284,000-plus for new city manager Ty Ross. The employment contract will be on the Oct. 3 city commission agenda for approval.
In addition to the $225,000 top of the pay range salary, the city will also pay $22,500 (10% of the salary) into a retirement plan.
Health insurance for Ross and his family will cost $20,892 per year. Ross receives a $500 a month car allowance.
Not factored into that amount are $7,500 for moving expenses, $1,600 for a laptop computer and $480 a year for a cellphone.
Of note is that the City Manager's Department budget expenditures have gone from $428,000 in 2021, to $811,000 for 2024 according to city documents.
